We are pleased to announce that on 29-30 June 2026, the Laboratory of Plasticity successfully revived its annual scientific symposium Advanced Materials, Processing & Biomedicine (AMPB), which – after a break caused by the pandemic – returned in a new edition as AMPB 2026, held at the Technology Park of the Institute of High Pressure Physics PAS in Celestynów. We are delighted to have restored this tradition and are already looking forward to the next edition next year!
Despite exceptionally hot weather, the conference attracted around 50 participants – experts from Poland and abroad – who spent two days in intensive discussion on the latest research directions in advanced materials and their biomedical applications. The programme featured 14 invited talks delivered by scientists from Poland, Spain, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, covering topics such as bioresorbable metal alloys, coatings for implants and vascular stents, nanostructured engineering materials, and high-pressure processing technologies.
An important part of the programme was a tour of the Laboratory of Plasticity and the Technology Park of IHPP PAS, which attracted great interest from participants, including international guests, and provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the unique research infrastructure of our Laboratory and to explore possibilities for new collaborations.
The atmosphere of the conference -both during the scientific sessions and in the corridors -was exceptionally lively and inspiring. We are confident that the contacts made and ideas exchanged will lead to new directions of research collaboration.
